DIRT 3 – racing car game

Dirt 3 is a racing game belonging to the Dirt series. The game is developed in the studios of Codemaster, that brought to us Dirt 2, Race Driver 1 and Grid. It is published by THQ and it is available both on PC and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3- click for free access.

In terms of gameplay, Dirt 3 does not bring too many new things compared with Dirt 2. It is actually getting boring after a while because it is too repetitive. You will notice that some of the events repeat.

The game is based on stages, and the stages will open only when you will have enough points. While we advance in the game, more and more sponsors will lay eyes on us, thus we will have the chance to drive all kind of cars. We start from the bottom will small cars such as Fiat Punto or Peugeot 207, but we will have the chance to get stronger, faster and easier cars to drive thanks to our sponsors.

In this game there are seven types of races:

-              Classic Rally, where we race against time. We will have to get a better time than the opponents.

-          Head2Head, where we will have to compete against one opponent on a path created in a way so card did not even meet once.

-          Cross Rally, a race on a circuit that includes a certain number of laps, whoever finished on first place wins.

-          Land Rush, another race on a circuit, but here we will have to compete with buggy type cars and trophy truck.

-          GymkHana, which is a kind of show off, a track designed for jumping, drifting and spins. Who has the most points, will win.

-          Trail Blazer, is a kind of rally, just that here we are dealing with high-speed machines that will reach over 200 km/h, plus the routes are very long.

-          And last but not least, we have some challenges – we will have to jump a certain distance or skid for points.

The cars perform well, showing the Codemaster experience when it comes to racing gender. For simulators lovers, Codemaster provided a setup menu of the car, where can be set different parameters.
